About LGM

LGN is an organization of inter-disciplinary team of highly skilled professionals. Established in March 2018, our focus is on environmental health and related fields. LEAD group Nepal through a mix of strategies has been working to influence support governments to advance policies to attain sustainable waste management including waste generated by disasters such as earthquake, floods, landslide etc. and very much aware of the waste (Solid waste, liquid waste and gaseous waste) issues in Kathmandu Valley. LEAD Group Nepal has a strong presence in the solid waste management sector in Nepal, working with the ministries and departments, as well as the grass roots/community. Our work specially focuses on providing policy inputs, developing strategies and action plans, and social mobilization for solid waste management.

LGN has an experience of working with multilateral entities such as UNEP, Kyoto University and WHO among others, and has successfully implemented the projects by adopting result frameworks. Effective project management and a regular monitoring and evaluation of the projects are conducted to ensure quality outputs. The organization has internal Human Resources Policy and Procedures that encompasses the external expert/consultant management ensuring timely and quality projects deliverables. We have a consultant and client management procedures in place that encourages detailed orientation when the assignment is taken or provided, and organize regular progress meetings to track the deliverables. Our client/consultant contracts are drafted with all measures to deal with potential grievances and other issues. A project manager/team leader works closely with the client and consultants and is highly responsible for quality management and achievement of the results foreseen, with the ownership of the projects leaning on the Executive Committee (EC) of the Organization. We have in place an environment sustainable policy and a code of conduct, which has to be signed by all staff and executive board members. In addition, a senior management team (SMT) will be formed among the consortium members to facilitate the common ownership and governance of the project.

LGN is a non-political and not-for profit organization and has experience of working with multilateral organizations and has a good track record for the overall performance of the projects we commissioned. The quality of performance also depends on the team of experts; therefore, LGN has taken profound care in choosing the key experts who are able to deliver the quality products. Quality management of the assignment/performance has, in fact, started with the formation of the key experts’ team. The team has been formed with sound consciousness and with good track records and specialization in particular area.

LEAD Group Nepal has administrative and financial by-laws and Human Resources Management Policies, which clearly defined the enrollment and exit system. In specific, based on these bylaws and policies
